What is it?
This isn't your typical USB breakout. Unlike most boards designed to receive signals, this Male Micro-USB Breakout Board is made to drive them.
Designed to plug directly into devices with a female Micro-USB port, this breakout lets you inject your own power and data signals into USB-enabled devices. Whether you're building a custom charger, testing a USB device with non-standard power sources (like batteries), or sending USB signals from a microcontroller, this board gives you clean and direct access to the Micro-USB interface.
Features:
- Male Micro-USB Type B connector
- Breaks out VCC, GND, D+, and D- to clearly labeled pads
- Castellated Pads: Solderable 2.54mm pin spacing
- Ultra-compact
Unique Use Cases:
Custom Power Injection: Power Micro-USB devices (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Wi-Fi dongles) using battery packs or bench power supplies—no need for USB cables.
Microcontroller-to-USB Device Communication: Connect D+ and D- directly to the USB-capable pins of microcontrollers like the STM32, RP2040, or ATmega32u4 to simulate USB host/device behavior.
DIY Charging Solutions: Use with solar chargers, boost converters, or regulated battery packs to charge USB devices in custom enclosures or remote setups.
Embedded Integration: Seamlessly integrate into your enclosures to turn your project into a plug-in USB power or data source.
